Aloha Joe and all,
The restored fire truck which I viewed at the USS Arizona Memorial Visitor's Center in Dec 1991 was red. I have received more data recently.

The truck I viewed that day was Engine No. 1, a 1937 Seagrave (and is all original), this "apparatus" fought fires at Hickam Field. The Honolulu Fire Department kept another truck from that day, Hosewagon No. 9, a 1928 Seagrave (again, all original), this "apparatus" fought fires in the City of Honolulu from anti-aircraft shells. This Hosewagon is a sister "apparatus" of Hosewagon No. 4 from Palama which had gone to Hickam Field.

The Honolulu Fire Department is opening their FIRE MUSEUM in January 2006. Both of these "apparatuses" will be on display there.

Hope this helps,
David Aiken
