Here is a list of the Japanese ships mainly involved with the Hawaiian operation.

Carriers:  Akagi (Fleet flagship), Kaga, Hiryu, Soryu, Shokaku, Zuikaku

Battleships:  Hiei, Kirishima

Heavy Cruisers:  Chikuma, Tone

Light Cruiser: Abukuma

Destroyers:  Akigumo, Arare, Hamakaze, Isokaze, Kagero, Kasumi, Shiranui, Tanizake, Urakaze

Submarines: (That stayed with the fleet): I-19, I-21, I-23

Tankers:  Kenyo Maru, Kokuyo Maru, Kyokuto Maru, Nihon Maru, Shinkoku Maru, Toei Maru, Toho Maru

Sixth Fleet Subs that went out before....

I-1 I-2 I-3 I-4 I-5 I-6 I-7 I-8 I-9 I-15 I-16* I-17 I-18* I-20* I-22* I-24* I-25 I-68 I-69 I-70 I-71 I-72 I-73 I-74 I-75 *-carried a midget submarine
