Dear Friends,
Accordnig to the TROM of Japanese submarine I-69:
(see: http://www.combinedfleet.com/I-169.htm)
Quote
Later that night [7 December], the I-69 locates a destroyer SSE of Barbers Point and fires a torpedo at her. The destroyer probably spots the wake because she turns away. The I-69 is depth-charged.
9 December 1941:
S of Oahu, Hawaii. The I-69 attacks a cargo ship unsuccessfully, then is depth charged.

Here:

I found this information:

Quote
Only one of the fleet boats fired torpedoes at anything near Oahu that day [7 December], and they were fired at a merchant. áThe torpedoes missed.

In another source I found information, that attack on 7 December was against merchant which was escorted by destroyer.

I am looking for all available information about American ships involved in these two actions (merchant and/or destroyer of 7 December attack and cargo ship of 9 December attack).
Thanks in advance.

Greetings and very best wishes from Poland,
Wawrzyniec
