Aloha All,
There is need to determine which torpedo was dropped first...the one that hit Raleigh or the one that "combed" between Raleigh and Detroit to "hit" Ford Island.

Witnesses sought...
TIA,

According to my grandfather's diary account of the attack, the torpedo that hit his ship (USS Raleigh) was also the first dropped, or so he was told. He, like most of the crew, was in the Chow Hall at the time. Also, he says that his gun station, actually shot down a plane which ended up hitting the USS Curtiss. I hope this helps you!

Aloha Ms KJ,
May I obtain your grandfather's name, rank, rating, and years of service? May I obtain info of his combat and diary for that day's action?
TIA,
