Does anyone know why there was never an after actin report filed by LCDR Jones in compliance to "Confidential Dispatch 102102" issued by CinCPac shortly after the raid?
I guess I've never came across the Shaws before.
Regards! Chris

Chris, I'm talking with a former crew member of Shaw and he's offered to send me a copy of the December 7th "log." I'll let you know when I get it.
Also, the Captain, LCDR Jones, was not on board Shaw at the time of the attack, although I don't know if that has any bearing on the lack of report.

The Report was posted recently on the Havy Historical Center's website.

I had come across an "action damage report" for Shaw and Cassin at my last trip to the San Francisco Archives and have posted it here.
The report mentions a repair similar to what saved Shaw and I thought was an interesting look into the Navy's efforts to return her to the war.
