Does anyone have any idea of what happened to all the ships later in the war? Which were sunk, damaged or survived. Maybe played major roles in battles?
I know Helena played a major role in the night battle at Guadalcanal. Phoenix survived and was sunk in the '82 Falklands conflict.  Nevada was at D-Day, I think.
I also believe many of the Battleships that were raised fought in the Battle of Leyte Gulf.  But thats all I can recall.

To add to what you already know; Arizona and Utah are obviously still there, Pennsylvania was sunk in the Bikini tests, Oklahoma sank while being towed to the West Coast after the war.  I'm not sure of the remainder, but I'm sure that other folks in this forum can help.
Best Regards,

A lot of the ships were sold for scrap.  Some were used in the atomic bomb tests.

You can find information on the individual ships' fates here:

Dictionary of American Naval Fighting Ships

There are lists of the ships in port and in the Pacific in the FAQs at the top of the forums.
