First time poster here...please be gentle...

You folks probably hear this all the time but anyway...a conversation with a friend  about the events of 9/11 and the governments involvement therein led to a comment about other events in American history in which the government may or may not have played a part:the Lincoln and Kennedy assinations ,the sinking of the Maine and ,inevitably , the bombing of Pearl Harbour..
A point was made that recently declassified documents 'proved ' that FDR knew weeks in advance of the specifics of the attack and let them happen to provoke the U.S. into a conflict with the Nazis...

Of course I had heard  rumours before but I had not heard or read about said "documents"..are they a figment of my buddys imagination or do they exist? What exactly do they reveal?

I hope these questions aren't  redundant...Thanx      Sincerely/Bruce griffin/Toronto

Aloha Bruce,
The reason that this site is somewhat slow to load is the amount of information kept on line just for you.

Let your fingers do some walking. If you reach out and touch FDR. This will reveal that the documents of which you speak are all declassified and reveal that FDR did not know about Pearl Harbor, but that he did know that war was pending and hoped to thwart the Japanese warlords by going direct to the Emperor on 6 Dec 1941.

Take some time and read the site and much will be revealed.
