Hello all,

On November 2nd, I attended the dedication ceremony of Interstate 10 being named as The Pearl Harbor Memorial Highway. The State of California was the last leg of this cross country highway to be so named.

The ceremony was held at the Santa Monica Pier, and names the highway from Santa Monica, CA. to Blythe, CA (at the Arizona border) that now stretches coast to coast to Jacksonville, FL.

About 50 Pearl Harbor Survivors attended the 11:00 AM ceremony, along with 2 City Councilmen, an Assemblyman, a State Senator, and a contingency from The National Purple Heart Rememberance Society.

PHSA National President Mal Middlesworth was also in attendence.

It was a Great Honor to be there !
