I once saw a documentary that had a speech by then president Bush senior and at the end it showed a diver (me)placing the remains of a Pearl Harbor survivor inside the Arizona.  Can anyone name the documentary so I can get a copy of it?

No it wasn't.  I have the program somewhere and I believe the Vets last name started with an R.

The 1st President Bush was the speaker at the Pearl Harbor Day service for the 50th Anniversary, dec. 7, 1991.  There have been so many documentaries done on Pearl Harbor since the 50th that I'm sure his speech is in at least one of them.  Part of his speech was part of the interpretive program broadcast on the shuttle boats that go out to the Memorial (or least it was when I was last there in 2001).

As the cultural resource manager at the Memorial from 1993 - 1996 I did all the interments of Arizona during those years.  In the book USS Arizona that I co-authored, there is a list of all the Arizona survivors that were interred in Arizona or had ashes scattered over the water, as of Dec. 7th,  2000.  Included are the dates, who did the interment, either the Navy dive unit, or in the later ones done by the Park Service, the names of the divers (NPS took this over in 1993).  When I started keeping a detailed list of the divers that participated in the service, I was not able to reconstruct the names of the Navy divers, only the unit.

As of 2000, the only Arizona survivor interment with a name that begins with "R" was S1C Lewis P. Robinson.

I will make an effort to find the program and provide the Vets name.  I figured there would be a few documentaries with the presidents speech, just thought someone would remember which one showed the diver taking the ashes to the turret.  Thanks everyone for your replies.
