I have read this book and must say it got me thinking a lot about the attack with a much broader view. I always concentraited most on Battleship Row and the military bases, and never thought as much about the long term effect it had on people in the surrounding Islands and the world, even to this day. So glad I read it.

Joan,

Isn't that a wonderful book?  Makes people think about things that many seldom wish to remember.

This book is wonderful...it's my favorite for giving the long and broad view of the attack and its impact on America and Hawaii decades later. It also gives a great picture of the thinking of the time and our time.

My favorite part: the dopey questions in the "Boner Book" at the Pearl Harbor NPS Site. The guys there deny they have such a book!
